Our Lawn Renovation Process
At Lawngevity, renovation doesn’t mean a quick patch-up. We take a structured, professional approach:
Step 1 – Heavy Scarifying
We begin with intensive, multi-directional scarification to remove thatch, moss and organic debris.
This strips the lawn back to a clean foundation and exposes the soil surface — preparing it for full renovation.
All waste is removed from site and responsibly recycled.
Step 2 – Core Aeration (Soil Decompaction)
After scarifying, we carry out hollow core aeration to physically remove plugs of compacted soil.
This:
- Relieves deep compaction
- Improves root development
- Enhances drainage
- Increases oxygen flow
- Creates channels for seed and nutrients
Unlike surface-only treatments, this addresses the structure beneath the lawn.
Step 3 – Grass Stitching
We then sow premium grass seed directly into the prepared surface using our Grass Stitching method.
